Hello doggos and dashers!
As we wrap up our first month post-launch, we wanted to keep you in the loop regarding community news and activities. We will be sending out these “round ups” on the last day of each month, though this is being added to the Clubhouse late.
Welcome to the club
This month, we had 12 new members join the community from different parts of the city. We are so excited to have you with us: Dennis K, Andrew C, Katie B, Alexa M, Michelle L, Jackie G, Zander P, Lucas R, Kristen O, Taylor C, Thania F, and Blass L.
Most valuable dasher
Each month, we single out one person who exemplifies what it means to be an outstanding DogGo dasher – our monthly “MVD”. This month, that recognition and an Under Armour long sleeve dry-fit go to Magda R. You can find a Dasher Spotlight on her in the Clubhouse.
On Saturday, April 14th, Patrick R and Danielle R spent a few hours volunteering at an adoption event with In Our Hands Rescue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This organization is “dedicated to saving the lives of forgotten animals in NYC and beyond”. It was amazing to witness a few adorable pups find their forever homes that day.
Hitting the trail
Our motto is “Get up and DogGo!” In that spirit, the DogGo Dash Club team has taken steps this month to spread the word about our community. In addition to our Clubhouse and social media posts, this included:
- Joining the NYRR Open Run in Brooklyn Bridge Park – these volunteer-driven events are held once a week all over the city and are open to people and pooches!
- Handing out fliers at the Hillside Park, Washington Square Park, and Madison Square Park dog runs.
