On Saturday, October 20th we moved our monthly DogGo Dash fun run to Prospect Park for the first time. We consistently had folks from Brooklyn coming out to the East Village runs and wanted to try something more convenient for them. Besides, the park is a runner’s paradise and haven for dogs!
The turnout did not disappoint, consisting of both regulars and new comers. We had enough doggos and humans to break out into two groups: walkers and runners. The dashers mostly consisted of Vizslas, of course! After gathering at the Picnic House and snapping a group photo, we set off to enjoy what turned out to be a beautiful afternoon.
Both the 1.5 mile walk and 3 mile jog ended at Grand Army Plaza, which was bustling with an autumnal farmers’ market. After catching our collective breath, we headed down Union Street to nearby Pig Beach for some refreshments and delicious BBQ. Another successful community event is in the books, thank you to all who attended!
